Senior Software Engineer - Mobile

Kiha Software, a well-funded startup, is introducing a novel user experience platform for mobile devices. Mobile communications and mobile devices are about to evolve in exciting ways!  Kiha software is on the leading edge of this wave to provide customers with a new and innovative mobile experience.

 

As our text mining expert you will be responsible for the design and implementation of text mining systems for Kiha Software.   We are looking for someone with broad knowledge of text mining and natural language processing techniques and the drive to succeed in building world-class software components.  You should also have at least 5 years of development experience with the LAMP architecture.  Ongoing work may include application of web 3.0 technologies. 

 

You should be a mobile device enthusiast with strong general development skills as well as database experience.  This is a startup environment, so flexibility, a self-starting attitude, and team-oriented mentality are essential

 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

*  Excellent programming skills, enterprise Java is required. C++, Ruby, and Perl a plus.
*  Excellent proficiency/experience in working in a Unix/Linux environment with Microsoft Windows knowledge a plus.
*  Algorithmically agile including the ability to understand and implement sophisticated text and data mining algorithms.
*  Experience with natural language processing or text categorization a plus.
*  Solid understanding of data structures including strong understanding of SQL
*  5+ years of development experience.
*  Excellent analytical skills
*  Excellent oral and written communication skills
*  Strong experience with large scale commercially deployed systems for the web or in the enterprise.

* Familiarity with web 3.0 technologies and semantic stores.

 

Education:  BSCS, BSEE, or BS in related field
