Senior Systems EngineerResponsibilities

The Senior Systems Engineer will develop operational concepts, requirements, architectures and system specifications for company products. The Senior Systems Engineer will ensure practical implementation of company products that is competitive, cost effective, scalable, highly reliable, robust and evolvable. Some specific responsibilities are: Gather product stakeholders needs and develop system/product/feature requirements
Convert technical research output into product/feature requirements
Participate and provide input in product roadmap planning
Develop system architecture and product/functional specifications
Study trade offs between buy/develop scenarios and make recommendations
Develop high-level implementation sketch and effort estimation for product enhancements
Perform technical evaluations of major product enhancements and/or major new customer requirements
Participate in development reviews to ensure design synthesis and proper system validation
Maintain current knowledge of relevant emerging technologies, industry standards and support the company in associated R&D Planning
Ensure that the system meets relevant industry standards, where applicable
Provide systems support to research, product marketing and product deployment
Participate in advanced solution architectures and RFP processes
QualificationsMSEE/MSCS with a minimum of 7 years of experience in systems engineering
Experience in systems engineering processes; proven ability to take concepts into deployable systems
Must have a broad working knowledge of communication and data processing technologies, systems, and products (preferably in wireless)
Very good understanding of various wireless standards (such as GSM, IS136, CDMA and UMTS) at the network and preferably also at the radio interface
Has developed and deployed telecom carrier grade products
Very familiar with developing real time carrier grade telecom software, spanning system, functional and FCAPS
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Excellent people and project management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to prepare and present comprehensive presentations to customers at all levels
