Services Provisioning Support Engineer US-GA-Atlanta Description:Services Provisioning Support Engineer SUMMARY OF POSITION: The ideal candidate would be responsible for the process of implementing new software from Development to Q/A and from Q/A to production primarily for the Cox Video Automated Provisioning Platform. This includes but is not limited to reviewing QA results, reviewing implementation plans, scheduling and coordinating change window activity. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for facilitating production issues to resolution and publishing post mortem reports for all services supported which also include Cox Wireless Provisioning and Cox Commercial Telephone Provisioning. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Work with Development and Support teams to coordinate work.2. Provide leadership and authority in responding to user questions and requirements.3. Lead team in implementing solutions with a high sense of urgency that satisfy user requirements as applicable.4. Gain understanding of ICOMS billing system and its interaction with the Provisioning workflow engine.5. Work with support teams at the sites to quickly and effectively resolve customer escalations and clearly communicate any provisioning outages.6. Work with teams supporting components external to the provisioning systems to assist in troubleshooting provisioning outages or errors.7. Participate in a rotating on-call support role after business hours. 1. Two or more years work experience.2. Minimum 2 years hands-on application development experience. Preferred prior experience includes Java or XML, UNIX, Oracle. An understanding of the development process, including writing technical specifications, coding and unit/system testing is expected3. Experience with ICOMS billing system a plus.4. Ability to function with a high sense of urgency. 5. High level of customer service focus required.6. Experience with problem/issue tracking tools and change management tools preferred.7. Minimum 1-3 years experience working on a production support team.8.
