Our Distribution Team is seeking a talented Captain to help maintain operational excellence in the DC and fulfill customer expectations. ExpectationsResponsible for interviewing, hiring and training of new team membersEvaluates performance, rewards and disciplines team membersMaintains performance records on team members, routinely communicates and coaches team members on methods and techniques for improving performance, including reviewing time recordsPrimary point of contact for all shift issuesImplements process improvement, methods improvement, and problem-solving activities to improve productivity and reduce costsAccountable for quality system procedures in area of responsibilitySets output levels, prepares/publishes graphical reporting packagesReview production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing and maintenance issues to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delaysMaintains continual follow-up program to ensure adherence to procedures and operating proceduresTeaches, supports and assures that quality and quantity standards are maintainedCoordinates overtime/attendance management and time-off schedulingMaintains a high level of personal flexibility to accommodate business needsActs as a role model for all expectations (safety, attendance, productivity, error-free, etc.)Required Skills

BA/BS in business or related field or equivalent experience 2-3 years minimum experience supervising in a warehouse environment Demonstrated competence in supervisory skills in motivating team members in meeting performance goals Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; comfortable with coaching and training individuals and teams Strong sense of urgency Superior analytical abilities Working knowledge of windows and MS Office Suite Ability to lift 50 pounds
