This member of the team is responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of EV-DO and CDMA2000 network simulation software used in a variety of Spirent’s industry-leading solutions for mobile device testing.

Responsibilities:1. Design specification, implementation, and testing of embedded and applications software for wireless network simulation

2. Apply in-depth knowledge of wireless communications protocols to the development of mobile device test systems

3. Participate in all phases of product realization from initial specification to production and maintenance

4. Provide expertise in support of other teams building automated test solutions using our network simulation platform

Qualifications:Minimum BSEE/BSCE with 2 minimum years related experience in a similar position (may be substituted with a graduate degree in a technical discipline)

• Hands-on experience in object-oriented programming using one or more languages. Experience with C++ is desirable.
• Familiarity with communications protocols and concepts. In-depth knowledge of CDMA2000, 1xEV-DO, or UMTS protocols desirable.
• Experience with Windows/MFC application development or embedded software development with VxWorks desirable.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills.

Ideal/Preferred Skills
MSEE/MSCE desirable

• Experience with multi-threaded software and network programming desirable.

Experience in wireless telecommunications or network protocol development desirable.
