As a member of a talented team creating a leading edge next generation networking platform, you will develop embedded software for a complex networking system. Must be a self motivated team player and be able to jump-start development from the initial concept with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Must have good communication skills and be able to interact well with the development peers to understand both own tasks and overall development architecture. Embedded software design and development experience on a high-speed high-complexity networking platform is required.

 

Job Overview:

- Develop detail functional specification and software design documents.

- Design, develop and maintain software components. Take ownership for a subsystem and develop from concept.

- Work closely with ASIC vendor for getting functionality in the chips operational.

- Work closely with QA team in developing test plans.

- Develop and execute detailed unit tests for features, as well as supporting the features during the test cycle.

 

Skill Set:

- 7+ years of embedded software development experience

- BS/MS in CE/CS or similar field

- In depth data networking knowledge TCP, UDP, IP, Ethernet.

- Good knowledge of Packet Forwarding Data Path in Routers and Switches is required.

 - Experience in working with ASIC vendors is desired.

- Extensive experience in C programming
