Job Description:

IPC is seeking a software developer on LINUX and Windows platforms.  The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years prior experience developing large, complex server based applications on Linux and Windows server using C++ and JAVA.  Additionally, the person must have very good grasp of Object Oriented Programming and Design as well as applying some of the well known design patterns used in developing n-tier architecture solutions. The person must have a good command of Linux systems programming especially sockets and other form of Linux inter-process communication. The person must be self starter, enthusiastic and motivated.  Exposure to product development SDLC and working with offshore teams is desired.  The selected candidate is expected to analyze marketing requirements and translate them to functional and technical specifications.  Design and implement software solutions based on the specification exhibiting good programming discipline and instincts to API based development and automated unit testing. The person must be a clear and innovative thinker with excellent communication skills.

 

Qualification & Skills Required:

BS in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering

Expert: C++, Socket programming, JAVA

Proficient: Linux Systems Programming, Scripting (shell or perl), Use debuggers such as GDB and building applications using Make  

Familiar: Speech, Telephony, SOAP/XML, Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures
