They are addressing the needs of commercial location based applications and the E911 public safety market. They are financially stable as they are a profitable startup and their technology is used in the largest GSM carriers in the world. ResponsibilitiesThe Software Engineer will develop software architectures and designs for carrier grade wireless telecom products. You will be an important member of the product development team and will be responsible for development of software products and components in a dynamic software development organization. Key responsibilities include: Creation of product requirements and functional/feature specifications for mobile location services and related technologies, products, and solutions
Creation of new software designs and evolution of existing designs to meet customer requirements and efficient delivery of products and solutions
Implementation of key software components and testing and integration of sub-systems and systems
External product evaluations and interface specifications
Review of software design and customer documentation
Review of system test specifications
Mentoring junior members of the team in the areas of proprietary technology and standards
RequirementsBS CS/EE (MS preferred)
Minimum of 4 years of software product development experience, preferably in the area of complex server-side software
Demonstrated ability to design and implement new software functionality as well as enhance and sustain existing software products
Extensive experience developing complex software in C/C++ in a UNIX environment
Experience in Java is a plus
Experience in MATLAB is a plus
Proven experience in developing scalable, reliable and robust software products
Good understanding of the water fall and agile software development processes
Project leadership skills are a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
