Solutions and Alliances Engineer

Responsibilities

 

Objective: Align partner products and solutions with Juniper solutions and reference architecture. Identify, integrate and demonstrate, value-add 3rd party technologies into Solutions Engineering reference network solutions.

Responsibilities:
1. Design develop and maintain technical relationships with technology Alliance Partners.
2. Maintain a detailed information base describing alliance partner technologies and interoperability with Juniper technologies.
3. Manage the juniper Alliance loaner equipment pool.
4. Build and maintain a portfolio of alliance partner integration demo's to show Juniper’s unique market differentiators in integration.
5. Obtain and maintain good market knowledge pertaining to 3rd party products in adjacent markets, as well as knowledge of the competitive landscape for these products/markets.
6. Create documents describing the core value of 3rd party interoperability.  Documents should also provide configuration walk through.
7. Provide timely reports to manager as to project progress, milestones, challenges and decisions made along the way.
8. Act as consultant to team team members with regard to 3rd party product integrations and available technologies that can be used in the network solutions.
9. Act as technical advisor to the Alliances group with regard to the technical feasibility of integrations.
10. Become the subject matter expert to 3rd party products interoperability and integration with juniper products.
11. Master the Microsoft relationship from a technical integration standpoint. Hence understand and lead knowledge around integration of Microsoft products with juniper products.

Expectations:
1.  Strong knowledge in networking and security technologies.
2.  Very good knowledge of Microsoft server technologies with proven track record of enterprise grade implementations.
3. close and regular communication with your manager to report status and to gather ongoing feedback regarding what success criteria and deliverables.
4. Close engagement and awareness with the Alliances group and their overall activities (activities that directly and indirectly impact your work).
5. Close engagement with organic team (solutions engineering) in participating in the projects and remaining familiar with technical details.
6.  self starter and auto-didact with regards to 3rd party technologies at the level of only needing very occasional product support
7.  good writing skills and excellent presentation skills.
8.  excellent problem solving skills with ability to autonomously solve problems through documenting resolutions and reporting roadblocks proactively.
