Position will work with our Electric Cloud distributed make system; learn custom scripts and wrappers to optimize the entire system.

Responsibilities include:
o Daily administration (add/modify users, create branches/labels, etc.)
o Examine builds and how they are running in our environment.
o Make improvement to the overall infrastructure
o Write custom scripts and labels
o Analyze and troubleshoot issues with our software build environment
o Troubleshoot client issues
o Participate in cross functional discussions regarding usage.

Skills/Experience:
o Expert level skills and enterprise experience with Make and similar build tools.
o Expertise in Perl and C++ is required.
o Very familiar with Linux and Windows
o 5+ years experience with IT systems technology, enterprise class environments, high-availability, hardware/software installation and configuration of servers, desktops, and peripherals.
o Successful candidate will need to make configuration decisions on the best systems approach for customer groups and will be viewed as the application go-to resource
o Knowledge of Make, Shell Scripting, and other scripting languages
o Experience using Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems, NetApp, and Cisco hardware
o Experience supporting customers is a must

Additional Skills:
o Electric Cloud experience a big plus.
o Ability to learn new applications and technology quickly and apply that knowledge
o Experience in software development lifecycle and/or software configuration management a plus
o Experience with Linux and Solaris operating systems a plus

o Participate in cross functional discussions regarding Perforce adoption and usage.
o Knowledgeable in unix/linux

Skills/Experience:

Candidate should have at least 2 years experience with above mentioned technologies and tasks in an enterprise environment. Windows and Linux Server experience. Basic understanding of SCM and software development processes. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with customers and partners from both IT and engineering

. Practical experience developing extensions to vendor products.
