PURPOSE:
The Human Resources Senior Coordinator will assist in management for all HR processes that support the department’s business strategies and goals for the Los Angeles South Division. This person will be responsible for compiling confidential data and reports and must handle these in a timely manner and with a high degree of attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
• Compile data, run reports, and summarize outcomes.
• Support HR processes with timelines and preparation of all materials.
• Produce timely and accurate work product.
• Prepare and coordinate New Hire Orientation with the Business Partners.
• Track and report on employee participation for all training initiatives.
• Work with HR Business Partners and other specialists to coordinate HR initiatives.
• Address basic employee questions and escalate to Business Partner Manager as appropriate.
• Assist and refer employees to Employee Services as needed.
· Communicates HR policy information and responds to general employee problems and questions.
· Responsible for maintaining HR boards
Utilize HRIS system; and other related HR reporting systems, and other employee reports, databases, or spreadsheets.
·Educating employees regarding their benefits, tuition reimbursement, payroll, EAP, employment/transfer opportunities, LOA’s, and other benefits as necessary.
·Disseminate HR communications and related information to employees on a regular basis.
·Help facilitate event planning and record keeping as needed.
Skills:
• Understand and use basic analytical methods, tools and technical systems that apply to specific HR needs.
• Understand business metrics and associate trends for HR.
• Understand and support company strategy and goals of client groups.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 years experience in an HR Administrative role • Strong communication, project management, and relationship-building skills • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal clients, vendors and HR specialists • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
- Must possess a high level of confidentiality
-Must be willing to travel on a regular basis
- PC experience including word processing and spreadsheet applications also required. Ability to handle priorities is critical.
-Requires excellent organizational skills; strong written verbal and the maturity to handle confidential information: a strong customer service orientation is also necessary.
- Must have ability to drive personal vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license. Working knowledge of employment laws, AA/EEO, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting for long periods of time. Prolonged computer work. Communicating in person and by telephone. Occasional carrying, lifting (up to 25 lbs.), moving, and stooping.
