Description:

The Senior Technical Specialist for the IS Enterprise Systems - EDI-PDT (Production Development Team) is esponsible for providing interface communication between customers. The team manages order receipt and result delivery environments on various platforms and is responsible for assisting the protocol translation team. This senior position maintains and enhances the current infrastructure and support processes. Identifies areas that need immediate attention to prevent performance, availability, or product lifecycle issues by designing, engineering and assisting in the implementation of solutions. Plans and leads technology migrations, product lifecycle, and major reconfigurations and upgrades. Provides input to management to help prioritize efforts in the infrastructure and their dependencies to other efforts/projects underway.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, install, and verify new Cloverleaf software versions and service releases.
Work on the CM (Communications Module) standardized client product, EDI interfaces (>2400), Oscar – teleprinter result delivery, Hypersend delivery software, Branch printing and IVR technology.
Provide 7x24 support of the delivery environments, assisting the PST (Production Support Team) as second level support for on-call issues as required.

Coordinate and deploy application changes in Test/QA and Production environments.
Perform Cloverleaf and other delivery system problem determination and resolution.
Develop, document, and implement contingency plans.

Support and comply with the corporate and team processes and policies such as corporate change management and incident/problem resolution. Represent ESI-PDT in the group forums.
Maintain knowledge of the Cloverleaf product functionality and the related application/business components, and ensure they meet the requirements of the customer, internal and external.
Maintain and recommend improvements to existing systems and software and recommend alternative architectures, products, or software as required.

Provide the technical expertise and infrastructure support for Cloverleaf and scripting in TCL, Expect, Perl environments for system and application departments.


QUALIFICATIONS
3 to 7 years hands-on HealthVision (Quovadx) Cloverleaf administration experience - Level 2 or 3 certification.
2 to 5 years of hands-on Sybase database programming, AIX and/or Unix scripting.
2 to 5 years of hands on Term software and scripting, TCL / Expect / Perl scripting. Connect: Mailbox software experience helpful.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communications. History of good judgment, tact and the ability to work effectively with management and peers. Strong customer service focus.
Proficiency in connectivity protocols TCP/IP, MQ, FTP and healthcare data formats HL7, XML.
Experience in version control, healthcare EDI architecture design and flow, familiarity with Hypersend.
Experience in (or interest in learning) Java environment is a plus.
BA/BS in data processing preferred.
