We invite you to explore what we have to offer. Sr. Loadrunner Tester US-GA-Atlanta Description:SUMMARY OF POSITION: Lead performance testing activities for all applications (mostly J2EE). Develop scripts to automate performance testing of systems and execute load testing of systems under tight timelines. Support the entire test and certification process by getting involved early in the product development cycle through product release. Review application architecture and design strategies and provide recommendations. Analyze applications and characterize performance of systems to identify bottlenecks. Present and communicate performance testing results to the management. Collaborate with the members of the Engineering, Development and IT organizations to validate performance improvements. Conduct load and stress testing and provide input into Systems Engineer and the team for capacity planning efforts. Analyze application usage in the web hosted environment to validate test harness.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Installation and configuration of Mercury/HP LoadRunner on Unix or Windows platform.2. Installation and configuration of any one of the Open source load testing tool such as JMeter.3. Design, write, develop and execute tests that are scalable, repeatable and measurable for specified business requirements.4. Analyzing the test results and providing explanations of the results to help in the tuning process5. Excellent understanding of QA/Load Testing best practice methodology6. Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks. 7. Creating test strategies and test plans to ensure the stability of the application under performance, load, and stress testing.8. Working closely with the Software Engineering and Infrastructure teams to ensure the application has the capacity to meet the demands of the business.9. Executing customized tests, reporting potential performance issues, and creating statistical models to monitor performance.10. Trouble shoot application networking issues11. Gather information necessary to design and plan performance tests as well as evaluating and identifying appropriate performance testing tool(s).12. Interact effectively with development team, product management, Design, and QA manager to promote effective testing methodology.13. Prepare a thorough documentation detailing the Load Test goals, Issue identified, bottlenecks and System resource usage. Share this information with the project team.Qualifications:1. Must have at least 7 years experience in software testing multi-tier client/server applications with the last 3-4 years performing stress, load, scalability testing.2. Must be proficient in Mercury/HP LoadRunner and have working knowledge and preparing the custom scripts for the past 3 years.3. Strong knowledge of and experience with J2EE, RDBMS concepts, SQL, Oracle and/or SQL Server 4. Detailed knowledge of and experience with advanced networking concepts: TCP/IP, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.5. Detailed knowledge of and experience with web technologies: Web Servers, Browsers, Cookies, XML, HTML, JVM, JavaScript, SSL, LDAP, etc.6. Knowledge of and experience with transaction server technologies: MTS, CORBA, JavaBeans.7. Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills required. Project management skills a plus.8. Experience in an ISP environment is a plus. 9. Software coding experience a plus (JSP, C, Java, etc.)10.
