Speakeasy’s broadband services are available in most metropolitan areas within the 48 contiguous United States. Position summary:Looking for a Sr. Project Manager to assume responsibility for a portfolio of significant company initiatives involving product launches, infrastructure development, and mission-critical business directives. You will function as an integral part of a program management office team to ensure that goals are met within constraints of time, budget, and performance targets. In addition, you will analyze and monitor progress and make recommendations when necessary. Strong project management, matrix management, organizational, interpersonal, and practical thinking skills are a must in this position. The successful candidate will have the judgment and experience to bring clarity to ambiguity, speed up or slow down teams to regulate the pace of activity, and will make recommendations & decisions that support the best business outcome of his/her projects. Responsibilities:• Provide project management leadership across the design, development and rollout of new value-added products, infrastructure projects, and mission critical changes.
• Develop and manage the project critical path
• Oversee cross functional processes including the product development process to ensure product and project requirements are communicated across the organization.
• Assist teams in making tradeoffs between cost, schedule and features.
• Develop schedules, gather resources, manage project plans and communicate progress across the organization.
• Negotiate terms with vendors and manage vendor relationships.
• Ensure functional groups meet commitments on new projects.
• Employing matrix management; managing across the functions without direct authority.
 Skills and experience required:• 5+ years project management experience
• Ability to prioritize and drive activities forward
• Strong knowledge of PMBOK required; PMP Certification preferred
• Experience in telecommunications, broadband services, high technology or software development required; experience with voice over IP technology preferred
• Experience in vendor negotiations and vendor management desired
• Must be a high-energy, focused project manager who's comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Willingness to test new products and provide feedback
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
