Sr. Scientist - Wireless Location Services

TruePosition, Inc., the leader in Wireless Location Services (WLS), is currently recruiting a Senior Scientist to join our Chief Technology Office. With a state-of-the-art facility and a team that includes many patent authors and notable wireless infrastructure systems architects, TruePosition offers the opportunity for a Senior Scientist to lead the next generation of world class infrastructure product architecture of WLS platforms and LTE.

 

In this role you will provide vision, strategy and technical oversight impacting all departments. You will create new product and technology ideas, create intellectual property, and drive standards strategy - developing products will be the result of your endeavors.  Additionally, our Senior Scientist will have a major impact enhancing location technology for wireless devices utilizing various waveforms while developing algorithms, performing simulations and feasibility studies while contributing to the overall technology strategy and systems architecture.

 

ResponsibilitiesDevelop location techniques and algorithms for new wireless standardsDevelop algorithms to optimize location accuracySimulate and develop acquisition and demodulation algorithms for multiple air interfaces (UMTS, WiMAX, WiFi)Incorporate various wireless technologies (GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA, CDMA 2000, WiFi, WiMAX) into PD life cyclesWireless modem developmentAcquisition algorithm developmentWireless communication simulation and prediction tools' developmentRF propagation, planning and modelingEnhance location technology - Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA), Angle of Arrival (AOA), GPS, Signature based location techniques, Enhanced Observed Time Difference (EOTD)

RequirementsMSEE/PhD EE and 10+ years experience developing, implementing, and testing communications and DSP algorithms with a strong RF focus.4+ years in a technical leadership standards groupExtensive experience in MATLAB and C/C++ based system simulation and evaluation.Strong presentation and writing skills along with excellent leadership, people and verbal communications skills
