Sr. Wireless Java J2EE Software Engineer US-GA-Atlanta Description:SUMMARY OF POSITION:This position will be responsible for developing wireless systems needed to integrate ICOMS with wireless billing and rating systems. This position will work closely with the Wireless Billing Business Analysis team to develop detail designs required to support billing of wireless services and usage. Responsibilities include participating in Wireless strategy sessions providing technical expertise and best practices. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Represent Wireless Billing team at overall Wireless strategy meetings to ensure Wireless Billing designs are do able, that overly complex solutions are avoided. Document Wireless Billing detail design needs. Ensure that Cox development standards are adhered too. Ensure that test plans are followed. Review Analysis/Design documents to ensure Wireless Billing functional requirements needs are being met. Provide pre/post implementation support to ensure Wireless Billing needs are implemented successfully. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Wireless Billing and integration with ICOMS Ability to work independently with minimal direction Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, practices or procedures to: define the problem or objective, identify relevant concerns or factors, identify patterns, tendencies and relationships, formulate logical and objective conclusions, and identify alternatives and their implications. Ability to work as part of a team; collaborating with colleagues Ability to prioritize assignments in order to complete work in a timely manner, when there are: changes in workload, changes in assignment, pressured of deadlines, competing requirements and heavy workload. Working knowledge of related product offerings, technological directions and emerging technologies Ability to think strategically, focusing on both the big picture as well as technical details. Ability to utilize structured project management principles including project coordination, planning, analyzing, quality assurance, issue management and project execution/closure Ability to understand and design technical architectural and system integration aspects.Qualifications:Minimum five years working in an IT or business related experience in telecommunications. Experience with ICOMS a plus Wireless experience a plus A Working knowledge of Web Services. Develop code on the AS/400 using Java, C and or RPG. Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision. Ability to focus on primary objective yet also consider `big picture implications Works well under pressure, and meets deadlines. Must be organized and methodical.
