Staff Accountant

Responsibilities General Ledger entry creation with moderate to heavy analysis Maintain multiple spreadsheets related to cash movement and forecasts Heavy bank reconciliation for multiple cash accounts Partner with Accounting Manager and Payroll Manager concerning a variety of General Ledger issues Assist in ensuring appropriate security measures and controls are established and enforced for all company assets. Enhance and maintain effective internal controls Assist in troubleshooting accounting system processing issues Other special projects as directed by management

 



Qualifications and RequirementsDegree in Accounting/Finance/Business required 1-2 years Accounting work experience minimum Analytical, problem solving, and deductive reasoning skills Ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks quickly, accurately, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under deadline pressure Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Must possess organization and initiative skills Ability to perform under short time constraints Extensive knowledge and adherence to current GAAP requirements Previous large bank reconciliation and extensive Journal Entry knowledge required Excellent attention to detail required; ability to multi-task Solid judgment and decision making abilities Team player with positive attitude Knowledge and experience in MS Excel required (Exam required) Strong knowledge and experience in Great Plains or similar accounting/ERP software required (i.e. MAS 90/500, Platinum, Peoplesoft; NOT looking for Quickbooks Exp)
