System Designer-Authenication / Remote accessMAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The system designer for Authentication and remote access services is responsible for the technical design, functions and structure of authentication services and remote access infrastructure solutions in NSN. The System Designer manages the infrastructure design plus the acceptance process and quality assurance after the realization of design. The System Designer is the interface to the overall design for all architectural and conceptual questions and provides functional requirements for the architecture. System Designer is also responsible for existence and correctness of the respective documentation for the design. System Designer ensures the on-going conformity with global architectures and compliance with all other IT regulations (e.g. security) and monitors the structural development needs REQUIREMENTS:Typically 6-9 years relevant Network design and support experience; key contributor; recognized technical specialist; degree with knowledge of following areas: Network authentication / SecurID / Remote AccessUnderstanding and advanced acknowledgement of:Radius protocol Different authentication schemes and connectivity to back ends like AD and LDAP PKI and other certificate concepts 802.1x authentication RSA SecurID environment, especially versions 6.1/7.1 User grouping/provisioning and configuration in Radius environment Authenticating client experience like RAS, firewalls, laptops, mobile terminals OSPF and other LAN routing protocols. Exposure to BGP and MPLS is desirable. Knowledge and experience with SSL and other VPN access methods  PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:Individual contributor; performs and/or coordinates day-to-day activities to meet dept/project objectives; carries out root cause analysis in more complex problems; can develop and implement recommendations; carries out variety of complex activities according to plan within broad area of responsibility, analysis problems; decision making typically according to establish solutions.Impact is short term and usually department/project scope; accountable for quality, accuracy and efficiency of own actions and or team achievements; actions and errors can have program, project and functional impact. BUSINESS UNIT DESCRIPTION:High level technical expert in network and IP solutions, services and support; technical expert in process and network design development, application development and configuration of network platforms, mgmt and development, installation and maintenance and network operations.
