Systems Administrator (Level III), WINDOWS & EXCHANGE
Telefonica USA, Inc. is currently seeking Systems AdministratorS for its Datacenter Operations. These positions will be responsible for system administration and engineering duties for enterprise-class infrastructure of Global 100 companies. Duties include internal and external customer systems. Activities include: Level III support, service restoration and problem resolution, change control and deployment (including upgrades/patches for operating systems and middleware; application code changes), project integration for development, test and production environments. Ability to screen and diagnose client inquiries and problems; troubleshoot to clearly understand problems (root cause determination), solve problems, use operational documentation (runbooks), and escalate problems to third party providers and product vendors for further troubleshooting (where appropriate); professionally answer phone calls, provide internal and/or customer email communications; monitor internal and customer environment via ESM tools; perform capacity planning and performance tuning; build-out technology infrastructure (hardware and software); harden and lockdown servers; perform vulnerability and security scans; support production control (batch processing) duties as assigned; partner with application development personnel to meet or exceed business objectives and requirements; comply with all operational policies and procedures. Act as operations liaison with all applicable internal and external third party providers.
Requirements
- Excellent client interaction and customer service skills.
- Extensive, hands-on VMWARE and Windows experience (Windows 2000/2003/2008 (x86 and x64) environments).
- Knowledge of Intel/AMD Hardware (DELL, HP, IBM servers); Blade Technology is a plus.
- Recovery of Windows Servers including Active Directory Recovery.
· Install and Maintain MS Active Directory including:
o DNS
o IAS –RADIUS
o DHCP
o User and Group Security
o File and print services
· Install and Maintain Exchange 2003/2007 in an Enterprise Environment.
o OWA, POP3, IMAP
o RPC over HTTP
o Frontend-Backend configurations.
o HubTransport
o Active Sync/Blackberry/Goodlink
· Disaster recovery of Exchange Environment.
· Knowledge of Exchange Migrations from Exchange and Non-Exchange Mail Platforms.
o Lotus Notes
o Exchange 5.5
o Other (
· Install and Maintain Microsoft Clusters (Exchange and MS SQL).
· Working knowledge of VMWARE ESX 3.x and Virtual Center (VCP is plus)
· Knowledge of Citrix Presentation Server 4.x is a plus.
· Knowledge of MS Sharepoint server is a plus.
· Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Strategies.
· Knowledge of Networking: TCPIP.
· Knowledge of System Security (Firewalls, server hardening, server policies, Account and group account security)
· Knowledge of Datacenter Control Processes (ITTL, SAS70, Sarbanes Oxley, etc) is a plus.
· Knowledge of Linux is a plus.
· Able to respond quickly to problems and issues (24/7)
· Research and test new and emerging technologies and apply to an Enterprise environment.
· Desktop/End User Support
Bachelors Degree in IT or related field, technical institution training equivalent and/or 5 years work experience in a technical department (organization), providing technical support requiring daily or frequent interaction with internal and/or external users or customers. Certification in system administration, network and security are major plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is also a plus.
