NetVersant is currently interviewing for an exceptional Electronic Security (access control) and Surveillance (CCTV) Systems Engineer.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Works under general supervision of the Operations Director / Vice President, Engineering Manager, or other designated supervisor to provide customers with design, engineering, software, hardware, network, server, workstation and personal computer support for complex electronic security system deployments.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / KNOWLEDGE Provides customers with technology support for design, engineering, software, hardware, network, server, workstation and PC support for electronic security system installation. Provides electronic security systems design and engineering expertise. Provide pre and post sale ESS systems design and deployment support. Installs and configures hardware and software on customer computers. Supports multiple ESS projects with advanced systems programming. Provides database management expertise in ESS project deployments. Support the communication between the host and other client/workstations over a LAN and/or WAN. Restores and installs Windows and Unix operating systems on servers/computers. Assists technicians and field staff with integration troubleshooting. Trains field personnel in installation, configuration, and integration of ESS systems. Communicates with internal and external customers to profitably deploy complex ESS system installations. Provides comprehensive ESS systems training to customers. Ensures backup procedures to meet customer satisfaction.





Preference for candidate with BS/BA degree and Microsoft MSCE certification. 8-10 years installing and programming access control, CCTV, software and advanced networking experience. AMAG, GE Casi-Rusco, Lenel, Integral, and Verint/Loronix, Bosch experience / certification preferred. Other top five' access control product experience / certification desired. Ability to complete advanced systems programming and database management. Strong network hardware & software knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Expert in Windows operating systems and understanding of Unix preferred. Understanding of common product lines and related technology.
