Systems Supt Eng II US-LA-New Orleans Description:FLDENG: Develops, expands, and maintains the data network, systems engineering and field engineering areas. Expands our data footprint into new markets when financially feasible.1-Defines and compiles procedures and documentation for support personnel to follow in support of day-to-day operations.2-Coordinates with Operations, Sales and all areas within Field Engineering to ensure the network is available and configured to exceed market demands.3-Tracks and resolves escalations as appropriate.4-Makes specific recommendations and assists in implementation of plans that enhance technical operation, compliance with rules and regulations, and permits the deployment of new technology.5-Designs circuits, configures and designs backbone routers and circuits, and prepares circuit design drawings for assigned projects. Works with Construction and Project Engineers to ensure installation deployment of network systems and applications.6-Conducts evaluation, cost analysis, selection, engineering and network design of digital telecommunications equipment including fiber optic cables and terminal, multiplexers, digital cross connects, channel banks, local area networks, digital switching systems and related equipment. Certification is required in some areas. Cisco certification a plus, CCNA, CCDA or CCNP.
