TELECOMMUNICATIONS MANAGER - VOIP - NORTEL PBX

The Telecommunications manager will be responsible for the requirement, definition, configuration, and implementation of small to large telecommunications systems and project. Responsible for managing all telecommunications vendors activities associated with current sites and locations as well with opening new international offices, relocating offices, and telecommunications projects, including but not limited to Nortel PBX evaluation and installations, Call Centers, Voice Mail, Voice and LAN Cabling coordination, IVR, WAN operations and installations, Fax servers, Mobile and Cellular phone services, local and long distance vendors.
Some domestic and/or international travel may be required.
The successful candidate will oversee the design, installation, upgrade and maintenance of a large-scale Nortel PBX environment world-wide. He/she must have experience in Nortel VoIP technology as well as 3-5 years of experience with Call Pilot, Nortel Option 11, 81C, 1000E Succession and Meridian and Extensive experience with Symposium and OTM.
In addition:
3-5 years telecommunications experience in administration, operation and maintenance of Nortel PBX systems. Deep experience with Call Pilot, Nortel Option 11, 81C, 1000E Succession and Meridian, and Symposium and OTM.
Performing administration on all Companys wide Nortel Systems, coordinating with vendors and internal staff to manage all MAC activities, and proactively monitoring and troubleshooting systems and infrastructure issues. Interface with vendors and telecommunications carriers.
Designing and implementing new features and applications that support the Call Center department. Good understanding on WAN technologies and concepts.
Telecommunications or equivalent degree or equivalent experience.
Must have 6+ years progressively demonstrated experience managing telecommunication systems, preferably Nortel systems, in a large (2000+ users) company environment, of which 3-4 years should be at a supervisory or management level supporting a large PBX environment.
3-5 years of experience in Nortel VoIP Technologies. Extensive knowledge of voice, data and video communications is required.
Extensive knowledge supporting ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) configurations, voice mail and call processing is required.
3-5 years of experience in WAN Technologies. Solid understanding of telecommunications methodologies as well best WAN practice principles.
Knowledge of inter-exchange carrier tariffs and Telco processes (quotes, ordering, installations and maintenance) is desirable.
Extensive experience escalating problems and work order requests through vendors is required.Project Management experience. Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities is required.
