EEO/AAP Employer TDS is looking for Door-to-Door Consumer Account Representatives to grow and build the Madison market!This is an exciting temporary project beginning mid May running through November. Ideally this position is full-time working 12-9 Monday through Friday with the flexibility to work 8-4 two Saturdays per month. There is flexibility with scheduling.Individuals will be responsible for growing TDS revenues by acquiring new residential customers and selling new products to our existing customers. The account representative meets with potential customers to educate them on the features and benefits of TDS's voice, data, and video products and determines the appropriate solutions to fit their needs through a consultative sales approach. Customer contacts are made either through cold calling on customer homes or through appointments or customer referrals. Day to Day Responsibilities: Contact cold and warm prospect customers through in-person contacts, networking, and referrals to educate them on voice, data, and television services in territory provided by TDS. Make sales calls to determine customer need, gain information, and sell TDS services to prospective customers in order to achieve a weekly sales quota. Prepare documentation of sales orders received from customers and remit to supervisor on a daily basis. This includes sales orders and agreements, third party verifications, and sales reports in a manner consistent with manager specifications. Manage the customer account from the sale through installation. Perform telephone follow-ups on each sale after it is installed to ensure customer satisfaction after the sale. Maintain technical knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to achieve success in position. Maintain proper appearance and professional attitude at all times to represent TDS positively in the community. Attend and participate in sales meetings and training as established by management. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: High school diploma, GED or HSED 6+ months customer service OR sales experience Have a valid driver's license, insurance and access to reliable transportation Other Qualifications: Computer literate with familiarity of in-home electronics, computers, and high-speed Internet preferred. Must be enthusiastic, persuasive, persistent, and have the ability to handle rejection in the selling process well. Must be a good listener and have superior people skills. Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service in a calm, professional manner. Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and be a self-starter. Excellent oral and written communication skills for interaction with customers to educate them on cable, voice, and data services. Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and customer information. Ability to deal with public in a professional manner.
