TRUCK DRIVER (CDL NOT REQUIRED) FOR FORTUNE 500 CO.

The OpportunityThis position transports materials to customers via box truck or van.  This position is located at our Wichita, KS. branch.  Specific responsibilities are: Drives truck with capacity less than three tons to transport materials within specified area. Records each delivery on the manifest SF99 before leaving the warehouse. Verifies load against shipping papers. Obtains signed receipts for delivered material. Decides on best route for effective delivery of product, which will satisfy customers’ expectations of a timely delivery. Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations. Inspects truck equipment and supplies routinely to ensure safe operation. May perform Material Handler responsibilities when not engaged in primary position responsibilities. May collect cash on C.O.D. orders from customers. Miscellaneous clerical duties.Requirements H.S. graduate or G.E.D. Experience in material handling and driving a company vehicle. Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations. Basic reading and math skills, including use of charts and schedules. Able to handle cash properly. Knowledge of city helpful for route planning. Good customer relations. Must have acceptable driving history.
