Description
Join the Nokia development team to help us bring our service billing and shopping solution to the next level. This new and exciting initiative will give you a chance to become part of the Ovi.com development team. We work in a challenging and inspiring environment using the latest technologies to combine mobile, Mac/PC and internet user experiences together. This team will lead the transformation from Web 2.0 to Web NG.

Organization Description
Services & Software plays a leading role in shaping Nokia’s growth and transformation to an Internet company generating new revenue streams based on software and services. The Services & Software Unit’s portfolio of services creates opportunities for people to connect to each other and the things that matter to them. The developed services and software can be used on PC, online or on mobile device, they can be distributed independently or embedded in devices, they can be delivered to both Nokia and to non-Nokia devices and they can be monetized through multiple business models: transaction, subscription and/or advertising.

Common Components unit, which is part of the S&S Development and Delivery organization, ensures the development and productization of common components and common service elements to support the service line development or service adaptation. A good example of a common component is the common user registration and authentication service - the Nokia Account service.

Position Description
Technical Product Manager will work together with the relevant counterparts to understand the customer needs and Nokia’s business goals and to turn that insight to a competitive product and service offering.
-Technical Product Manager collects requirements from
-Product Mgmt, who manages the product requirements overall and especially from the user experience point of view
-from relevant corporate backend systems (e.g. F&C, IT..)
-from service lines
-from service delivery
-from suppliers
-Breaks the requirements to action plans together with development team.
-Provides feedback to stakholders
-creates and maintains realistic and compelling roadmap and communicates to all relevant parties
-manges the backlog of technical features jointly with product mgmt
-works with architect and scrum team during the development sprints
-produces long term product strategy together with product mgmt
-follows market development from technical aspect and ensures the competitiveness of our service
-proactively develops the product capability

Some of the key deliverables in this position are the technical product roadmap, technical product requirement and feature backlog and its management and technical product specifications.
Key interfaces in this position are Product and Portfolio Management, Service Lines, Service Delivery, Technology and Architecture, Nokia F&C, Nokia IT, Financial institutions, Operators, Subcontractors
The person in this position works as part of the OVI Payment & Shopping program team and contributes to its goals. The team consists of highly motivated independent professionals located in Helsinki, Finland and Burlington, MA USA.
The person in this position is an individual contributor, who can work independently with agreed high level guidelines and works effectively as part of the virtual team in matrix organization.

Qualifications

Minimum 10-15 years of relevant work experience e.g. in Product Management and/or Product development
University Degree preferably in technical field
Hands on Experience in building Internet Services
Experience on managing web and mobile payment solutions is preferred
Software Development experience
Experience of Agile methodologies like Scrum preferred
Proven Experience in managing product requirements
Ability to communicate with engineering specialists on complex technical issues related to product security
Ability to explain IT and product matters in business terms
Ability to dive deep into process and IT systems with respective specialists as needed without loosing the big picture
Ability to conceptualize systems and requirements
Excellent networking and facilitation skills.
Excellent documentation skills
Ability to network and influence in a virtual team
Excellent influencing skills. Ability to engage highly professional and business-minded people from diverse cultures
