Technical Sales Consultant 2 GEM Company: AT&T, INC

Requirements:

As part of the sales team, this position provides technical sales support to assure successful customer integration and implementation of established company products. Participates in joint sales call with the sales representative. Responsible for consulting with customers in selling and supporting company products and systems. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Supports unit sales plan through pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting activities. Provides technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and installation and maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications. Provides answers to customer inquires concerning system software and applications and provides software development and consultation to prospective users. Understands, develops and delivers systems/applications solutions to customers business, information, technical and educational needs. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situation or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Incumbents have a full, working knowledge of assigned company products and services. Assignment may be at customer site, remote response center, corporate location or other site. May build a mini-application, based on customer requirements, to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping. Works independently with minimum supervision/guidance. Typically reports to a Second Level Manager. Prefers BS or equivalent and 5-7 years engineering and/or sales experience.

Required Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills: 3-5 years TELCOM Technical Sales Experience in VOIP Services and TDM. College Degree. Desired Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills: 5-7 years of TELCOM Technical Sales Experience on Layer 2/Layer 3 (MPLS, Metro E) Nortel and Cisco Data and Voice Advanced Services Sales Experience (IP Based Services) Security/Internet Sales Experience for Advanced Technologies Title: Technical Sales Consultant 2 GEM Department: Government Education and Medical Location: CHARLOTTE, NC
