Telecommunications Field Technician  Job Profile:   The Telecommunication Field Technician must have engineering or estimating skills as well as desire and ability to continue doing hands-on work.  Flexibility will be an asset, as your day-to-day endeavors will consist of service calls, full installations and everything in between.Your experience with Nortel systems will be used for engineering, estimating, troubleshooting and internal training.  Please note:  This is not a cabling position. Key Success Factors: Extensive telephone experience REQUIRED Team player Self-Motivated Excellent organizational skills Willing to be on call and available after-hours on a rotating basisCandidate Qualifications: Nortel certification required, preferably in voice.  Working knowledge of Nortel switches required. 5+ years installing, configuring and programming telephone, PBX and key systems preferred. Must have ability and desire to do hands-on technician work.  Previous experience with engineering and estimating preferred.  Desire and ability to do estimating required. Data networking knowledge required. Troubleshooting ability required;  previous experience preferred.Must have proven problem solving skills. Travel, typically within 4 hours of Washington, DC.  Valid driver's license required.
