Telemarketing Specialist / Entry Level Marketing

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

 

The Outbound Marketing Specialist is responsible for placing calls to generate sales leads, maintaining customer database, receiving inbound calls from respondents and qualifying inbound inquiries.

 


DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

 

§ Generate sales leads through outbound calls to both prospects and customers.

§ Following up with interested parties to answer questions and encourage them to sign up for our products/services

§ Calling former clients to find out why they left the company and encourage them to do business with us again

§ Participating in training to gain skills that could lead to a future sales role

§ Track dials, connects and leads and submit a daily report

§ Rapidly identify key decision makers within large organizations to stimulate sales activity

§ Research companies, build contact lists, and update database with required contact information

§ Identify & research targeted company lists and assist in developing telephone campaigns to uncover new business/leads.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

§ One year successful telephone sales, lead generation and prospecting experience.

§ High energy and comfortable on the phone talking to prospects to tell value proposition.

§ Excellent customer service skills; must present self in a professional manner.

§ Strong sales ability.

§ Ability to generate a high volume of outgoing phone calls daily.

§ Ability to process incoming calls from potential customers.

§ Excellent follow up and organizational skills.

§ Excellent knowledge in MS office and proficiency in database management a plus.

§ A background in customer service and lead generation would also be preferred.

§ High school diploma or equivalent required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.

§ Prior sales and call center experience is required for non-college grads and preferred for those with a college degree.
