Telephone Operator

The New York County District Attorney's Office has an opening for a Switchboard Operator in its Communications Unit.  Responsibilities include providing quality telephone support by answering incoming telephone calls on a multi-line telephone console.  Ensure that all telephone communications are answered promptly and courteously.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

•  High school diploma or GED required.

•  Experience with Openworx, NEC system preferred.

•  Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills required.

•  Bilingual Spanish speaking ability a plus.

•  Flexibility to work variable hours including holidays required.

•  Pleasant speaking voice with the ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task a must.

•  Computer skills a plus.
