Tower Technician II

JOB SUMMARY If you are looking for an opportunity to grow with a stable company, then this opportunity may be for you! AFL has an immediate need for two Level II Tower Technicians to work on long term projects in Ohio and surrounding states. This is a permanent position with possible work weeks being Monday through Sunday. These positions require significant travel. Per diem is set at $80 per day.  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Pick-up/delivery of supplies, tools, equipment via company vehicle • Will supervise all work on the tower and make sure projects are completed in a timely manner • Installation of coax line, connectors, antenna and accessories • Installation of RF connections and cables • Perform maintenance on tower equipment • Maintain a clean and safe work environment  REQUIRED SKILLS:  • Ability to climb in excess of 500 ft • Effective problem solving skills - a self starter with organizational skills • Basic installation and maintenance skills • Basic understanding of tower safety and PPE • Must have a valid driver’s license • Tower Climbing Certification • Willingness to travel is a must • Must have strong understanding of tower construction and rigging procedures• Familiarity with test equipment • Must be a self-starter with strong decision making capabilities • Must have a valid driver’s license • CommScope and Andrews Certifications a plus, but not requiredWe expect excellence from our employees.
