Trainer

POSITION SUMMARY: Delivers learning curriculum and programs for employees and/or supervisors and managers, which support the business imperatives and enhance performance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitates the delivery of courseware and programs in the classroom to support the learning of new knowledge and skills. Provides input to the design, customization and development of new courseware and job aids. Works closely with team members to ensure consistency of delivery and shared knowledge. Supervises employees during new hire training. Utilizes evaluation tools to determine effectiveness of training and provides feedback to learners and their managers. Analyze and evaluate training programs together with team members. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify ongoing employee development needs. Continuously research opportunities and methods to enhance learning and development of platform delivery. Participates in special projects and committees as assigned. Occasional travel required. Schedule flexibility to involve nights and weekends when necessary. Perform related duties as assigned. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in work experience and self-study. Minimum of one year presentation/training/platform experience. Strong group facilitation skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated PC skills, which includes strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and desktop publishing. High degree of flexibility and tolerance for change. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
(All minimum qualifications plus the following) Experience in a "line" department function or equivalent. Previous cable and/or telecommunications experience. Knowledge of adult learning theory.
