Training and Instructional Design Specialist

Speakeasy’s broadband services are available in most metropolitan areas within the 48 contiguous United States. Position summary:Design, develop and deliver company-wide product training programs, instruction and content for Activations, Customer Support, Retail and other impacted teams.  Responsibilities:• Plan, coordinate, and develop both paper-based and online training curricula using current technologies and instructional design best practices
• Deliver training modules to customer-facing employees
• Establish iterative review program and schedule for curriculum materials
• Represent learning department and perspective in cross-functional team meetings
• Assist in the administration of company internal knowledgebase
• Edit, revise and update existing training documentation to meet quality standards
• Gather metrics, work with Quality Assurance teams to support company-wide learning continuous improvement process
 Skills and experience required:• 3+ years experience designing and delivering both classroom and online learning programs. Technical call center, operations, or telecommunications experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in adult learning theory, learning best practices, and ADDIE instructional design methodology (or similar model).
• Experience supporting and driving new learning initiatives, managing multiple priorities and iterative curriculum design processes essential. KnowledgeBase administration preferred.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills required, copywriting and marketing experience a plus. Must work well both as part of team and independently.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, including writing training materials, scripts and storyboard. Experience with online learning and course authoring tools such as Adobe/Macromedia Captivate, Lectora, or Flash strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required, professional-level certification in learning preferred.
