Build strong, collaborative relationships within the accounting/finance team and across the organization Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department members; ensure that qualified personnel are selected; manage accounting/payroll functions to drive maximum performance of the team Ensure that the duties, responsibilities, and authority of each job are clearly defined, effective, and communicated to incumbents. Oversee cash disbursements for payment of company expenditures in accordance with disbursement policies. Maintain the company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets. Monitor credit and collection applications. Approves terms above a predetermined dollar amount. Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, year end close and consolidated financials Manage SEC reporting responsibilities Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Provide other departments with relevant information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities. Keep the CAO informed of the company's performance and provide advice on all accounting matters. Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, reduce costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-art practices. Consult with senior leadership and functional teams to make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of policies or practices. Furnish internal reports, revise and update reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnish external reports as necessary.       Qualifications:  B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance CPA designation A minimum of ten years' experience, ideally gained through increasingly responsible management positions within Accounting, with demonstrated strong and deep accounting knowledge.
