VP- Business Comm. Systems (SMB) PBX/Key Phone
Position Summary:
Responsible for the BCS sales division and BCS product advertising, public relations, branding, channel marketing, and business development activities. Assist the sales team with product launches, sales training, and trade show events. Provide product information, brochures, advertisements, and product specific press coverage and presentation in conjunction with corporate communications and SEC marketing management. Conduct and maintain competitive product analysis of industry comparisons, product features, markets, price, and product business opportunities. Provide market information to Korean Headquarters for education and product business planning. Develop branding efforts and strategic market penetration and visibility with SENA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:
· Provides marketing resources to the BCS organization in promoting Samsung’s Business Communication products. Creates relevant sales collateral in conjunction with corporate marketing staff.
· Develops product marketing, promotion, and advertising programs and materials for specific customer market channels. Works in conjunction with customers to develop plans and programs. Coordinates the development of materials to support product introductions, developments, and launches.
· Develops and manages product branding and product promotional initiatives. Identifies customer expectations, develops programs, establishes budgets, and obtains specific approvals to meet customer and Samsung branding expectations and to optimize use of available financial resources.
· Determines presence and material content for BCS Products at industry trade shows. Provides advertising, promotional materials, public relations forums, press releases, and product information in support of sales leadership for industry events, product announcements, and product promotions.
· Develops budgets for BCS product marketing and leads the department in support of new business development, sales, and product training. Leads in developing new, state-of-the-art product advertising, packaging, and end-user product information in conjunction with SEC and corporate communications.
· Manages staff of product marketing managers and product sales training personnel in support of product development, introduction, and sales and in store sales training. Together with STA management support, establishes staffing requirements, hires, fires, and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel in conformance with company policies and procedures. Develops and retains a high quality workforce.
· Prepares reports, management analysis, and marketing information for the effective communication of team performance and progress against plans. Conducts and maintains competitive product analysis of industry comparisons, product features, markets, prices, and product business opportunities. Provides market information to Korean Headquarters for their education and product business planning.
Background/Experience to qualify for this position, the following minimal background and skill levels are required:
· A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, marketing, or economics with a Masters Degree in business or finance from an accredited college or university.
· Have 12+ years business communication product marketing with 6-8 years telecom product management experience. Have 20+ years marketing experience.
· Must be able to write, read, analyze, and interpret wireless terminals technical product and marketing materials.
· Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite and extensive use of Windows presentation software in an NT LAN/WAN network environment.

· Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels within the STA organization and within customer organizations. The ability to convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer leadership, VP’s, directors & managers, staff, and vendors with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical, and project recommendations.
· The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous performance projects.
· The ability to write, read, interpret, and act on proper understanding of technical documents, engineering materials, or related documents based on corporate legal and customer applications, business standards, and philosophy.
· Ability to make professional sales and product marketing presentations and to communicate in writing, through emails and reports, or orally, product technical matters to an audience of high technical skills and operational experience.
· Ability to lead and direct the activities of staff members in order to achieve customer business objectives and team goals and to complete assignments within established time frames and specifications. The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, clearly define objectives, and give direction with applied knowledge of alternatives and decision-making experience to guide subordinates.
Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
· Work is generally performed in an office environment.
· Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
· The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
· Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and project management Stress.
· Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PC’s, printers, and office work areas.
· Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
· Frequent travel to customers, trade shows, or HQ (Seoul Korea) sites 25% of the time.
· Under minimal supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions may adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Position has complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company’s competitive position.
· Budgetary responsibility over $1,000,000 and expense authority under $5,000.
