VoIP Installation Engineer

NGT is currently looking for an Installation Engineer who will participate directly and indirectly in sales efforts of Private Label Service Providers (PLSP) providing in-depth technical knowledge and expertise, and facilitate the installation of hosted Voip services at the end customer site. Translate PLSP orders to a cookbook design, coordinate design review, and hand-off to the RSC for the execution of order components. Support RSC and Tier 1.5 resources on more advanced technical related items and the development of best-practice procedures to allow scaling within the RSC. The position will require significant end customer/PLSP communication.

 

Minimum Knowledge and Skills

Technical aptitude; ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly

Strong customer relationship skills

Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills

Strong project management skills

Very strong  3 years of professional work experience performing customer site service implementation

Thorough understanding of LAN/WAN design and implementation

Exceptional  ability to work effectively with internal and external groups

5 or more years of telecom industry experience.

Ability to work both independently as well as in teams

Proficiency with MS Office

Ability and desire to learn and teach

Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Organizational and multi-tasking skills

 

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

Understanding of Broadworks hosted IP PBX service

Understanding of TFTP based configuration of IP Phones

Understanding of Edgewater Edgemarc and Edgeview products

Strong understanding of the evolving mission and goals of the organization / ability to communicate strategy to outside

 Strong desire to directly support and participate in company’s sales efforts

 

Travel Requirements    

Minimum (5 – 20%)
