Warehouse Person Needed in Santa Monica, CA!

SUMMARY:

This position will perform a variety of warehouse functions between Shipping, Receiving and the proper distribution of Inventory and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) as directed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Unload delivery trucks, verify quantities, and sign receiving notices

·  Store materials and supplies neatly in proper place in the warehouse

·  Maintain Inventory Records of parts, equipment and CPE

·  Monitors material and stock levels of material inventory

·  Pick and distribute material daily

·  Updates and verifies accuracy of Issues/Receipt to the Inventory Program

·  Keep warehouse and surrounding area clean and orderly

·  Perform general maintenance of warehouse

·  Collect, dispose and recycle trash

·  Maintain and Distribute Equipment and Tools

·  Test and Clean CPE

·  Proper staging of CPE

·  Collect units requiring repair and route to appropriate personnel

·  Operates and maintains warehouse vehicles, equipment and tools in compliance with Company Safety Standards

·  Forklift Certified

·  Participates in monthly CPE Inventory and Weekly Inventory Cycle Counts

·  Distribution of mail

·  May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned and/or required
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·  High school diploma or GED required.

·  Must have basic math, reading and writing skills to be able to count, read instructions and document necessary paperwork

·  Demonstrated organizational, detail orientation, prioritization skills and time management skills to ensure that work related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner

·  Ability to work effectively in a team oriented, high demand and fast paced environment

·  Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and work with highly sensitive data and information

·  Solid communication skills to effectively deal with various levels of management, staff and/or outside contacts. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional and positive manner

·  Familiarity a variety of office equipment, standard software packages and application and use of personal computers to include the Microsoft Office suite of products

·  Effective listening skills to ensure understanding of instructions and directions and effectively communicate progress and problems to co-workers and management

·  Physically demanding position, requiring constant lifting and movement

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Travel may be required to attend work related meetings and training sessions. * Evening, weekend, and overtime hours may be required. * Lift up to 50 pounds frequently. * Must be able to work in cold storage warehouse facility. * Stand and/or walk for up to 6 hours per day; bend, squat and reach frequently. * Sit for up to 6 hours per day; bend and reach frequently. * Must have acceptable physical condition. * Perform repetitive grasping of equipment; using small tools: screwdrivers, pliers and cleaning cloths. * Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record may be required.
