Web Content Specialist

The Web Content Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s Internet, Intranet, online marketing efforts and other Web-based marketing and communications activities. This position will oversee the daily maintenance and support of the Jabra and Hello Direct web sites. The ideal candidate is versatile, extremely web savvy, well organized, and proactive in anticipating emerging trends, technologies, needs, and potentialities as they apply within a web environment. This position requires excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to focus on multiple deliverables with a sense of urgency.

Specific responsibilities include the following:

• Further develop and maintain the company’s corporate Internet and Intranet Web sites in support of the company’s stated business objectives.
• Develops Web-based graphics for the Intranet and other Web-based communications tools.
• Consults with Marketing and IT to plan Website development/refinements, etc. as needed.
• Pools together user requirements from various stakeholders in preparation of upcoming Website projects, events, new rollouts or other e-campaigns.
• Renew Web content ensuring accurate and timely information is presented & ensure all modifications are uploaded to the Web server.
• Work with Marketing and Communications Department to implement online/email marketing campaigns, e-newsletters, and promotions via e-mail, as needed as well as internal communications efforts.
• Work with Marketing Communications Managers and other departments to develop, coordinate, and promote high quality, consistent content for Web sites and online applications.
• Write and edit optimized web content (including product pages, database content, links, FAQs, etc.) that can be read by online audiences and search engines
• Participate in meetings with user(s) to determine special requirements and scope of support.
• Assist in the creation, enforcement and monitoring of policies & procedures.
• Train and guide user community in proper Content Management processes
• Stays abreast of industry trends in regard to new developments and changes to Website publishing techniques, Web-based technologies and applications, and Internet marketing techniques and practices.
• Collaborates with external vendors on special Web site projects.
• Assist in development and implementation of Web design standards, policies, and procedures.




Qualifications & Skills:

• College graduate. GPA above 3.5
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Website design, development and maintenance
• Creativity, problem-solving skills, accuracy, attention-to-detail and organizational skills are essential.
• Additional skills in Frontpage, Dreamweaver, Flash, PhotoShop, Acrobat, Front Page, Illustrator, and MS Office Suite are helpful
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
