Web Programmer
Cavalier Telephone, the Mid-Atlantic's fastest growing telecommunications company, is looking for a web programmer to join our web team.
We are in the early stages of re-building our web site and online applications from the ground up to provide a better user-experience and to better support our business processes. The web programmer will be responsible for writing front and back end code in PHP, JavaScript, XHTML and CSS.
As part of our tight-knit team, you will work on a site that gets over 500,000 page views each month.
You must be able to code in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP by hand (without using DreamWeaver or FrontPage). You will need to have the ability to translate Photoshop files into standards-compliant XHTML/CSS templates and to build JavaScript and PHP apps based on design and requirements documents.
You will also need to adhere to existing code standards regarding quality and style.
Qualifications:
+ 2-4 years of web programming or related experience Self-starter
+ Ability to juggle multiple tasks Ability to code in XHTML, PHP, CSS
+ and JavaScript by hand
Skills We Want:
+ Joomla CMS (v1.5) Experience
+ XHTML, Web Standards, CSS, JavaScript and Ajax Experience with OOP and
+ Design Patterns a big plus jQuery Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP JSON, XML,
+ SOAP Google APIs
