Wireless Network Instructor

The Wireless Network Instructor is responsible for the development, maintenance, and delivery of wireless network training to employees and contractors throughout the United States.  The Wireless Network Instructor will also perform skills testing of employees and contractors as part of the company's certification program.

 Key Responsibilities

· Deliver hands-on and theory-based wireless network training courses to employees and contractors throughout the U.S.;

· Develop and maintain labs (stationary and “suitcased”) for use in training courses;

· Follow industry standard instructional system design processes for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) of training and certification programs;

· Partner with product managers, engineering teams, instructors, and other relevant team members to obtain and validate technical content used in courses;

· Participate in the development of student and instructor materials, including lesson plans, presentations, web-based training, supplemental materials, and lab exercises for product/system training courses;

· Assist in the development of certification tests (knowledge- and skill-based);

· Collect required student documentation, including attendees, dates, and test scores, etc. If required, input information into a web-based data collection system;

· Frequent travel with in the U.S. (up to 50%) may be required.

 Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree (telecommunications or electrical engineering) preferred.  Associate degree in telecommunications or electronics acceptable;

· Expert-level classroom delivery skills; 3 to 5 years experience delivering wireless technical training to technicians and/or engineers required;

· Working knowledge of instructional design techniques and adult learning theory;

· Domain expertise in at least one area of wireless networking (BTS, switches, CBSC, etc.) required.

· Superior writing skills; specifically, the ability to write materials that are clear, concise, easy to understand, and written at a level that is appropriate to the audience;

· Ability to develop materials for training programs, including lesson plans, course manuals, handouts and visual aids, using printed and electronic media;

· Extensive computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint; experience with authoring/Web development tools (such as Flash) desirable.
