Account Executive - Transportation

Bullet Freight Systems has opening for an experienced Account Executive at its Portland, OR location.



Bullet Freight Systems is a privately held $100 million dollar company founded in 1986. Bullet operates through a network of own terminals and marketing partners throughout the country. This network provides a service package superior to our competitors in the LTL (less than truck load) industry. Bullet's market strategy varies within each locations market potential.





Our subsidiary, Caliber Logistics is an extension of Bullet's service, offering superior truck load service product.

Primary Responsibility:

Developing, establishing and maintaining customer relationships to grow revenue and profit.



Essential Functions - Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Develop and maintain functional knowledge of services offered by the company.

2. Ensure the organizational services consistently meet customer needs.

3. Interact regularly with management and develop a cooperative working relationship with operational staff to ensure customer needs are met.

4. Schedule and conduct a pre-determined number of sales calls as directed by management.

5. Maintain a number of target accounts and demonstrate active attention to those accounts.

6. Secure new accounts and maintain existing accounts.

7. Meet sales quotas as defined.



Education Requirements:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

* Bachelor’s degree preferred.

* Minimum two years related experience.

* Minimum two years Industry experience preferred

* Demonstrated positive, competitive, confident personality with strongly developed persuasive skills and customer-focuses orientation.

* Effective negotiation skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve results, or work independently with little or no supervision.

* Must have strong problem solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly to sales and service issues.

* Effective planning and organizational skills

* Demonstrated ability to analyze moderately complex administrative details.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions form management, employees, customers and vendors.
