Founded in 1932, NFI has grown to become one of America's premiere leaders in 3rd party logistics with over $750 million annual revenues and 5,300 energized professionals nationwide. NFI has an immediate opening for an experienced General Manager working in our Pittsburgh facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ã˜ Conducts analysis of workload as compared to manpower and equipment  Ø Reports of department and/or account productivity and profitability Ø Ensures work schedules in place to promote efficiency Ø Reviews all equipment preventative maintenance schedules and work orders Ø Develops daily productivity tracking by employee and charts monthly  progressØ Ensures proper percentage of labor is charged to respective departments to ensure proper factoring is achieved to identify accurate productivity Ø Implements safety and sanitation schedules that ensure the facilities compliance with corporate, OSHA, FDA, AIB or ASI standardsØ Ensures meetings are held reviewing warehouse issues  Ø Ensures the daily pre-shift meetings cover previous productivity, operational problems, forecasting workload and any other pertinent company informationØ Annual review of customer contracts, determining and recommending annual increases to the Regional Vice-President and Director of Business DevelopmentØ Reviews and coordinates all shift paperwork in a timely manner  Ø Audits all billing activity for accuracy. Properly signs and authorizes all purchase order requisitions, vouchers and customer billing.  Ø Coordinates all alarm-monitoring systems and reviews sprinkler system testingØ Conducts monthly review of aging for accounts receivable and works closely with the Director and Corporate office to recover balances in a timely fashionØ Acts as the coordinator for all physical inventoriesØ Acts as stock controller and communicates any discrepanciesØ Coordinates with customers any product recall programsØ Participates in department or company meetingsØ Assumes responsibilities of Operational Supervisors on vacation Ø Visits other warehouses and attends affiliated meetingsØ Ensures pallet control standards are being met Experience, Education, and Training: Ã˜ At least 5 years of managerial experience in a warehouse or distribution environmentØ Computer applications using MS officeØ Computer applications experience using T-Logic or warehouse operating system desiredØ Working knowledge of warehouse / mechanical equipmentØ Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and the willingness to become certified in one or more of these areas as necessaryØ Excellent supervisory skillsØ Excellent customer service skillsØ Excellent analytical and mathematical skills  NFI supports a drug free work environment.
