Intermodal Dispatcher

Intermodal Dispatcher needed in our Memphis, TN. office.  Position requires:

 

Person capable of dispatching cargo in accordance to the workload provided by CSR's. Utilize computer dispatch system to assign drivers to available containers, traces containers for delivery status, updates sytem and follows up for prompt delivery of all dispatched containers.

 

Responsibilities

 

Main duty is to assign drivers to available container units that have been provided by the CSR. 

Ensure all drivers adhere to required safety policies and DOT requirements.  Directs activities of drivers using different forms of communication, such as phone or utilizing a two-way radio.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum 2 years experience in the Intermodal industry as a Dispatcher.

Ability to perform duties via computerized dispatch sytem.

Communicate well with owner operators.
