Linehaul Coordinator - Central Dispatch

Dayton Freight Lines, a strong, rapidly growing, central states LTL (Less Than Truckload) transportation carrier is seeking an experienced Linehaul Coordinator for our Central Dispatch Department located in Dayton, OH.

 

This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast paced environment where your decisions directly impact the daily success of overall operations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to interact with all levels of management, as well as Line Drivers. The Central Dispatch Coordinator will be responsible for the timely and cost effective movement of all loads and drivers on a nightly basis.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent telephone skills
Experience with D.O.T. regulations is a plus
Geographic knowledge of the Central States area
Must be willing to work any shift
Central Dispatch - LTL experience is a plus
College degree preferred and/or LTL industry experience
AS400 Operating system knowledge and strong PC skills a plus
