Summary of Job Description:

 

Menlo Worldwide is seeking a proven leader with lean warehousing knowledge and significant experience implementing continuous improvement. Ability to create a lean culture through mentoring and developing hourly and salary staff of 25+ employees.

 

This Site Manager position will have responsibility for multi-client operations in one of three locations outlined above. Manage Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Admin, and Customer Service functional areas.

 

In addition, the Site Manager is responsible for financials, financial forecasting, and profit/loss. Must have capabilities to manage multiple tasks at the same time; and must have very high work level capacity.

 

Responsibilities:

 Lead Human Resource development through appropriate training, development and succession planning. Supervises and develops staff and otherwise carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.Ensures daily tactical operational functions are met. Daily workload planning, productivity tracking, quality management, capacity planning, and timeliness of inbound and outbound shipments are coordinated and executed.Quality process around managing defects. Use of root cause analysis tools (pareto charts, fishbone diagrams, 5 why’s, SPC) to minimize defects and impact to customers.Manage financial and operations performance metrics daily.Responsible for bi-monthly Operating Income forecasting accuracy of +/- 10% (or $10,000, which ever is more)Responsible for exceeding customer metrics (cost, quality, and responsiveness) Coach Lean Warehousing System Regularly reviews performance expectations with leadership team. Providing expectations, performance planning, feedback, Training & Development and performance discussions.Hold all Menlo Worldwide associates accountable to roles and responsibilities.

 

Requirements:

 Lean implementation experience is required. Strong problem solving skills and use of root cause analysis tools required.5-10 years managerial experience (Education may substitute for years of experience) providing overall direction, implementation, and continuous improvement of logistics solutions in all phases of warehousing and distribution.Solid understanding of finance in order to manage monthly financial goals and statements.

 

Education:

 

B.S. degree preferred. Preference to M.S. or M.B.A. Preference to degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or related fields.
