Production Scheduler-Findlay

A fast growing wholesale distributor in Findlay, Ohio is seeking a Production Scheduler.  This individual will work in coordination with divisional requirements to establish monthly production schedules based on lead times to meet sales forecast and customer needs. 

Job duties will include but are not limited to the following:Consolidate purchase orders or forecasts from each division, to establish priorities for individual sizes at the appropriate factory, modify forecast and purchase orders to enable each factor to effectively schedule production requirements; ensure that adequate molds and/or plates are available; ensure mold purchase orders are issued according to the budget Enter container information for each of the Chinese suppliers; enter delivery; purchase order number and steamship line; keep information accurate and current Review forecasts and initiate weekly transfers between consignment inventoriesEnsure that all purchase orders from Chinese suppliers are reconciled accurately and on a timely basis; reconcile the weekly purchase order report from the China office; identify any problem areas and make recommendations to correctEnsure that all invoices from Chinese suppliers are checked and approved on a timely basis;Identify any billing errors and correct; ensure that pricing is correct 

Job Requirements:Post secondary education or equivalent work experience3 years experience in production schedulingSolid understanding of organization’s marketing, products, players, technologies and contacts in related marketAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team oriented environmentAbility to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituenciesComputer literate with experience in Microsoft Office and EclipseExcellent communication and organizational skillsMust be able to travel internationally
