RPG IV/ILE Programmer Analyst

2 Direct Hire positions – RPG IV/ILE in Chattanooga, TNRequirements: IBM ILE RPG and IBM ILE RPG SQL development (utilizing Free-Form syntax) iSeries SQL (including DDL, joins, views, procedures, triggers, and constraints specifically as implemented on iSeries) Experience with service programs, modules, sub-procedures, binding, and other basic ILE concepts. 5+ years hands-on development experience with ILE RPG It is preferred that all candidates have a financial background. Will consider relocating for both positions. Additional: Good SQL programming skills. Experience with moderately complex queries, joins, indexing strategies. Understanding of entity relationship models. Understanding of normalized forms or willingness to learn these forms and when and how to use such forms. Understanding of the proper use of surrogate keys (identity columns) and various table constraints. Knowledge of various business terms and metrics used in the transportation industry or willingness to learn these. Good documentation skills. Willingness to review code within a group, participate in code review, and assist in documenting code and methods. Team Player, positive attitude, willing to learn, willing to consider within a group various alternatives and methods to produce accurate, effective, efficient, auditable, results.
