Treasury Accountant

Overview

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with a strong understanding of accounting and cash management.  Additionally, the candidate must have intermediate PC and financial systems knowledge with the ability to adapt to a continuously changing work environment.





Education

MinimumBS/BA Degree Bus Admin, Accounting or Finance

 

Work ExperienceAt least 4 years relevant work experience in accounting and treasury/cash management

 

Job ResponsibilitiesProcess all tasks associated with AR and its corresponding “order-to-cashâ€� activities, including updating cash roll forward for related transactions.Update cash roll forward for miscellaneous Pinacle transactions (i.e. payroll cash transfers) including entry into JD EdwardsPerform general ledger and bank cash balance reconciliationsMaintain invoices in accordance with company document retention and storage policiesDocument and research accounts receivable payment discrepancies is accordance with evaluated receipts settlement (ERS) protocol  Ensure that all accounts receivable write-offs are done in accordance with company policy and properly authorized by the Manager Treasury & compliance where requiredEvaluate DSO and monitor bad debt expense for accounts receivable.  Place collection calls to customers on past due balances.  Be responsive, courteous but firm in managing relationship with customersProvide analytical support to the Manager of Treasury and Compliance & CFO with regard to financial forecasting, capital structure and other special projectsReview and initiation of approved ACH and inter company fund transfersComplete tasks associated with the monthly closing in accordance with time lines established by ASCS Shared ServicesPerform account reconciliations, analysis and post journal entries as part of the monthly closing cycle.
Adhere to finance policies, procedures and internal controlsSupport the implementation of  KPI’s,  and other metrics to measure financial and operational performanceSupport the annual year-end audit process with external accountantsSupport Business Unit Controllers, General Managers and other operational personnel


Other RequirementsTransaction oriented with detailed understanding of process flows Knowledge of JD Edwards 8.10 ERP and PNC Pinacle Advanced MS Excel knowledge including graphing and experience with MS AccessProven experience in the development of treasury metrics and measures
