ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure appropriate availability of functional, safe, maintained equipment for efficient usage by staff

2. Ensure consistent written performance review/disciplinary action/recognition provided for all DC staff

3. Maintain labor budgets with appropriate staffing levels

4. Provide training and certification testing as required to all non-exempt DC staff

5. Ensure proper adherence to and implementation of all DC processes and policies by DC staff

6. Oversee Safety Program and participate as an active member for the Safety Committee to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and decreased L&I claims

7. Proficient in Bill of Lading software to ensure accurate and consistent reporting

8. Oversee proper security procedures for all DC managers and supervisors

9. Responsible for all department budgets within DC

10. Oversee all merchandise handling and operational flow within DC

11. Attention to detail and KPI reporting of all production areas

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

1.       Education

§          Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

§          Desired:  College coursework to include business major

 

2.       Experience

§          5 + years progressive Distribution Center/Warehouse Management experience to include overseeing a staff with multiple departments and shifts

§          Proven experience and understanding of distribution center operations and systems to proactively ensure profitable and efficient operation

 

3.       Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Training experience a plus Understanding of corporate P&L Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook Positive thinker with great people skills Ability to handle employee related HR issues with integrity
