As the Director of Media Product & Marketing, you will be responsible for:? Bringing a strategic perspective and passionate voice to the Media Solutions leadership team and help keep the team focused on a category-leading product vision.? Leading a team of product and marketing communications managers in bringing world-class advertising solutions to market across a network of leading travel sites. ? Developing the product roadmap and managing the entire lifecycle for the interactive advertising product suite.? Driving and prioritizing new and existing product and client marketing initiatives in alignment with advertiser and business goals. ? Bringing new media innovation to an ever-evolving set of commerce sites including, but not limited to, Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Expedia.ca and Hotwire.com? Leading cross-functional teams to produce product specifications, establish milestones, and manage the development, implementation and marketing launch against goals ? Communicating with and getting input from key stakeholders, evangelizing the Media Solutions strategy and winning alignment with external constituencies. ? Building business cases and analytical insight for new ideas as well as prioritizing the road map for the next set of media products and feature enhancements.? Managing the components of bringing a new product to market, including overseeing the vision, requirements, positioning, key features/benefits, rollout plan, and the marketing execution.? Leading, shaping and driving the marketing of Media Solutions programs including media kit development, sales collateral, database marketing and trade show planning. Hiring requirements:? Minimum 7-10 years experience with at least 5+ years of product management in a leading Web-based consumer business preferred ? Experience in online advertising, cooperative marketing, e-commerce/retail, and/or consumer packaged goods required; search marketing experience is especially desirable? Demonstrated experience in managing a product from inception to launch, including post-launch analysis ? Proven ability to build teams and lead organizations in rapid growth environment; minimum 3+ years people-management experience leading a team of high-performing product managers? Keen attention to detail, follow through, and execution? Outstanding communication, analytical, and problem solving skills? Bachelors required; MBA preferred.
