Dock Manager

Position Summary:

 

 Under the direction of the Sort Manager, the Dock Manager oversees and manages the day-to-day operation of the hub to provide the best possible service to the customers through timely and safe movement of parcels throughout our system, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

· Manage the performance of direct report employees.  Oversee labor issues, personnel issues, and employee performance.

· Ensure proper handling of packages.

· Develop and maintain a safe work environment.

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience of 3- 5 years experience preferably in the transportation industry

 

· Practical field experience with knowledge in shipping and receiving, sorter applications, and offline applications.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to convey information to all levels of employees including local and senior management.  Must be able to build good working relationships and have the ability to multi-task.

· Time management, organizational, self-motivated, presentation and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
